To configure and manage servers of different operating systems, including installing, fixing issues, and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability

To ensure the stable operation of the the client’s Server Infrastructure. To configure and manage servers of different operating systems, including installing, fixing issues, and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability. Software and hardware server infrastructure design and maintenance including virtualization solutions.

Server fault diagnosis and Active Directory design, implementation and management. Compile and implementati on Create Server policies. Server Security implementation and Management.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience as Server administrator in Windows environment, or Linux environment. Strong IT server infrastructure skills and experience in managing an enterprise-wide server infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of server infrastructure planning and design, which include standalone virtualisation, cloud computing etc.

Demonstrable experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting server operating systems, virtualisation management software. VMware Enterprise administration experience an advantage. Expert level skills with late Windows Server versions and other open source platforms.

Knowledgeable in application: transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS,NT", FTP, HTTP, SMTP,CFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances.

Hands-on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, Any Connect, DMVPN, etc.)

Minimum Qualification: Degree or National diploma in Computer Science or Informatics, or Engineering Information Systems or other relevant qualification at NQF 6
