New Germany, West Suburbs. Job Purpose An exciting opportunity exits for a suitably experienced and qualified individual to join our Road Freight team in New Germany as a Transport Controller. The successful candidate will report to the Business Unit Manager.

The function of this position is to co-ordinate the daily planning of cargo movement. Sound knowledge of container movement and port operations is essential for this position. Qualifications & Experience Grade 12 Certificate in Transport Management or studying towards a qualification is preferable 4-5 years experience in the road freight industry Sound working knowledge on hazardous and non-harzadous products key

Responsibilities Co-ordinate the daily planning or cargo movement Manage daily operating costs through effective resource planning and utilization Schedule trucks for servicing Keep roadbook up to date Ensure correct customer rate, volume and kilometers are applied prior to submitting invoices to the client Update TMS Submit vehicle tracking report on a daily basis to the client
