Machine Setter, Pinetown, West Suburbs. Our client, a progressive plastic packaging company based in Pinetown, has a vacancy for a machine setter to join their factory team.  The position has been created in order to create greater capacity in the long term.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Setting machines according to best practices. Conducting mould and material trials as required. Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements. Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored.

Ensuring top quality products are produced. Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety. Any other duties reasonably requested by supervisor or other. Prepared to work overtime when required.

To be considered for this position applicants must have: Matric or N4 certificate is essential. N5 or higher is advantageous. Mechanical aptitude. A positive attitude coupled with an ambition to succeed being able to work on PLC, AC/DC drives and motors is advantageous. Being exposed to blow moulding is advantageous. Must live in or around the Pinetown area. Must be able to work shifts.
