Maintenance Manager

Opportunity:
We are presently searching for candidates with Minimum of 7 - 10 years maintenance management/supervisory experience who will be able to plan, direct and control the efforts of the Maintenance Department. Candidate will also be responsible to maintain plant equipment and facilities commensurate with good engineering practices.
Responsabilities:
    Direct and lead staff in the everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance and repair of all production equipment.
    Manage, direct and schedule the maintenance personnel to achieve maximum improvement of maintenance functions.
    Liaise with government agencies as required.
    Source and order all parts and maintain spare parts inventory, in line with company procedures.
    Manage departmental budget.
    Initiate training within department as required.
    Ensure the safety and training of maintenance staff and of outside contractors working on site as per policy and procedures.
Qualifications and skills:
    Interprovincial certified in a relevant trade (Industrial Mechanic, Industrial Electrician)
    Minimum of 7 - 10 years maintenance management/supervisory experience.
    Ability to develop and manage a preventative maintenance program.
    Familiarity with automated process/packaging technology.
    Experience working in a computerized preventative maintenance program, a definite asset.
    Must be a demonstrated decision-maker who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team.
    Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
    Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and e-mail, a definite asset.
