Financial Manager (Retail sector) R21 - R25k + travel, Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands.

Duties: Responsible for costing of products for retail purposes. Pro-active suggestions on order quantities to ensure rebates are received. Negotiate payment terms of new suppliers and ensure current suppliers’ terms are met. Ad-hoc supplier contract management eg. stationery account, printer SLA, software renewal. CAPEX forecast, OPEX forecast.

Full management accounting function including, but not limited to the following: VAT declarations, Managements reports 14th of each month. Supplier recons / accounts payable – compile payment schedule for submission to CEO on designated dates. Loan account balancing. Annual and bi-annual tax returns (IRP6 submissions).

CIPC compliance, Excess and loss adjustment approvals, Ensure optimum GP% is maintained, Full bookkeeping of all accounts inclusive of depreciation schedules, journals and asset registers,

Duties in conjunction with OPS: Be instrumental in averting losses. Stock-take along with staff for the purpose of serving an internal auditing role. Target setting per branch with consideration of challenges and vision of the company. Propose alternatives on current challenges. Branch visits.

Duties in conjunction with HR: General analysis of HR related expenses. Banking on alternate occasions.

Ad-hoc duties Requirements: Financial accounting of PTY’s and Trust. CEO – private SARS returns as and when required (on request of CEO). Cost management of the retail PTY. Accurate feedback at all times. On-site at least 3 days per week (Stellenbosch) and as otherwise required

Reporting: Direct reporting to the CEO.
