Somerset West Cook, Somerset West, Helderberg. Our client in Somerset West is looking for a cook that will be able to: Maintain workplace hygiene and food safety. Prepare and cooking allocated menu items. Prepare and present food items for cold presentation. Prepare and provide a buffet service. Maintain specified productivity levels.
Education / Qualification and Experience Requirements: Minimum Education / Qualification: Professional Cookery / Culinary Arts Certificate. Minimum level / years of Experience: 3 to 5 Years’ experience in a similar role.
Additional Skills Requirements: Special Diets Knowledge. Up to date on food trends and functions. Excellent client liaison skills.
Responsibility Competencies and Skills Requirements: Basic Cooking Skills/ Methods, cooking skills at a basic level across the required range of menu items. Knife Handling Skills, able to use knives professionally & safely. Basic Literacy, able to, read, write and communicate adequately in the language of the workplace. Numeracy, able to perform basic calculations and work with numbers adequately. Visual Perception, able to perceive correctly and in visual detail so as to discern presentation standards. Taste differentiation, able to differentiate specific flavours and recognise the required taste standards. Salary: R5500
