HVACs (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Mechanic
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $22.00 to $28.00 hourly for 36 hours per week, Commission
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Major Work Area: Construction, Installation, Maintenance, Service, Repair, Commercial, Residential
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Heat pump, Air motioning and circulation, Ventilation
Control Systems: Electrical devices, Electronic and solid state
Specific Skills: Measure and lay out reference points for installation, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants, Read blueprints
Additional Skills: Customer service oriented, Coach and instruct apprentices
Security and Safety: Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Vehicle supplied by employer
Work Location Information: On-site customer service
