Fleet and Workshop Manager, Queensburgh, West Suburbs. Transport Company seeks a Fleet and Workshop Manager. To run their workshop, supervising 20-30 Trucks, Support Fleet, Drivers, Mechanics, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of all Vehicles. Co-ordinating breakdown response, repairs and reporting. Duties will be largely management related, prioritising repairs, making decisions on work to be carried out, buying of spares, tyre stock, suppliers and related cost.

Applicants should have a general mechanical knowledge, and strong operational management experience. Previous experience in Transport or a mechanical background an advantage.

Duties include without limitations: Daily Fleet Inspections and reporting. Fleet Service Records. Tracking and Monitoring of vehicles and driver behavior. Monthly Managing of COF’s and Licenses. Managing Breakdowns start to finish SA and Cross Border. Weekly costing and reporting of Breakdowns, Workshop Expenses, Tyres Management.

Requirements: Matric, 2-3 years’ experience in fleet controlling, Computer literate, Good planning and organizational skills. Experience on tracking software and Microsoft office. Someone who can deal with truck drivers, Workshop Staff and Suppliers. Work well under pressure. Good communication skills. Can assert discipline in the workplace. Must be willing to work long hours, day and night shifts, holidays and weekends.
