HOUSEKEEPER – EAST LONDON - Our client a highly reputable Hotel in East London has a vacancy for a Housekeeper to manage the Housekeeping and its Facilities through planning, monitoring and controlling the cleaning procedures for the Hotel as well as deal with all Housekeeping complaints. Only face to face interviews will be conducted, no skype or telephonic
Requirements: Matric/Grade 12. Relevant Diploma and/or 3 years’ experience in a Senior Role. Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous. Min. 3 years’ experience as a Housekeeper within the Hospitality/Hotel environment. Ability to Manage Staff, organize, plan and discipline. Must have a valid driver’s licence. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong Customer Relations. Knowledgeable on Tourism trends.
Duties include: Management of the housekeeping department. Staff management, development and training. Co-ordination of staff rosters. Quality inspections of rooms. Keeping record of inventories/stock. Reporting of maintenance issues. Responsible for stock takes, stock variances and condemned items. Conduct training for staff
Deal with disciplinary matters and non performing staff. Ability to remain calm in pressurized/conflict/crisis situations. Salary: R8,000 – R12,000 (depending on experience) use Job Title as a reference in the subject field.
