Airport security guard (Cargo Screener)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Night, Evening
Salary: $14.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Enfield / Elmsdale, Nova Scotia (3 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Security Guard basic (pre-assignment ) training program certificate, Security Guard Licence, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Private security agency, Airport
Type of Assignments: Fixed post, Foot patrol
Specific Skills: Enforce regulations of establishments, Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, cell phone, pager), Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed, Respond to alarms, bomb threats and other emergencies, Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism, Write reports
Security and Safety: Bondable, Secret clearance, Airport security clearance
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 20/20 vision, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
