Tool and Die Maker (Project Leader)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $54,000.00 to $59,000.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Markham, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Metal Mould-Making Experience: Injection moulds
Patternmaking Experience: Master patterns, Metal patternmaking, Production pattern equipment, Plastics patternmaking
Specific Skills: Machine tools to close tolerances, Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures, Verify dimensions of machine parts, Fabricate gauges, dies and moulds, Machine, fit and assemble parts, Inspect and test final products, Set up machine tools, Program and set up numerically controlled machines
Additional Skills: Read blueprint, schemas and drawings, Instruct apprentices
Security and Safety: Bondable
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods
