Junior Designer and Operator, Location: Other, Johannesburg, Job Type: Full-Time. Overall Purpose: Sports, Goods manufacturing company based in Johannesburg is searching for an attentive, dynamic and creative person to fill the position of Junior Designer and Operator.

Prerequisites: The successful candidate must be able to start within 2 weeks or immediately. Own Transport (Public or Personal). Matric and Minimum 2 Years Design and Print experience. Ability to do Design Work. Technically capable of getting work Print-Ready. Advantageous knowledge of Printing Machine Clear understanding of Production and Manufacturing Processes. Principle Responsibility. Digital print production and pre-press experience. Competency in MS Office Suite, Coreldraw, Photoshop and the remainder of Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent administrative, organisational and planning skills. Meticulous in detail, quality and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines – independently and in a team Capacity to show and take initiative, creative problem-solving skills. Prepared to work after-hours, if and when required. Have access to reliable transport.

The candidate will be involved in the following processes: Imposing, preparing and spooling documents to production printers Preflighting documents for production. Spooling & printing banners, posters and canvases on large format printer. Design of logos, business cards, pamphlets, flyers and posts for social media. Creating infographics and other images in Coreldraw and/or Adobe Creative Suite. Photo editing and preparing images in Coreldraw and/or Adobe Creative Suite for print and/or electronic distribution Preferences: No repeated job hopping within 18 months. Ideally more than 3 years Design and Print experience.
