Location: Bellville, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. JN Chartered Accountants is a successful audit firm who provides a wide range of services to various clients. We have been in existence since 1953 and continue to expand. We currently have a job opportunity for a permanent full-time Bookkeeper.

Duties of the Bookkeeper will include: Administrative duties; Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc.; Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews; Invoicing and debtors collection; IRP5 calculations, reconciliations and submissions; Liason with clients; Maintenance of SARS accounts; Pastel Accounting support; PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP201 submissions; Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and Import and Export licenses; Tax clearance applications; UIF registration and administration; VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions; WCA registrations, submission of returns and arranging letters of good standing.

Requirements: Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans; Hard working and motivated; Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position; Preferably residing in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town; Valid driver's license; Willingness to work longer hours as required from time to time; Working knowledge and experience with Pastel, Pastel Payroll, SARS E-filing and SARS Easyfile.
