Industrial Painter urgently required for an Engineering company: 10 years + experience To be in charge of the paint shop. Primary duties include painting, cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint and maintaining technical equipment for the job. Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint. Mixing, matching and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces. Providing decorative and faux finishes. Needs good manual dexterity in order to achieve a good, clean coat. Removing old paint, priming surfaces, choosing materials, selecting and mixing colours and cleaning up job sites. Under painting: Work paint up from thin to thick, especially when using slow-drying paints.
