Location: Other, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. Sportswear Clothing Designer. We are seeking the skills of a passionate Clothing Designer with a keen interest in sportswear!

Reporting to the Merchandise Executive, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in clothing design while working on five of South Africaâ??s leading sporting, outdoor and athleisure brands. 

The following requirements will apply: Tertiary Qualification/s in Fashion Design. 3 – 5 years’ experience in a design/product development role or similar field of work within the apparel industry. Previous experience sourcing new fabrics, trims and arranging story/colour boards. Strong understanding of production process and development. Strong technical skills in Coral Draw, Photoshop and Illustrator for preparing technical drawings, garment construction and pre-production. Able to work to strict timeframes. Demonstrate a flair for design and an eye for detail.

Scope of the role: Develop the applicable sports apparel brand from start to finish. Creating designs for performance athletic apparel. Manage all aspects of the range development from initial sketches to samples, fittings and distribution.
