Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a high caliber Senior Mechanical Engineer for one of our prestige clients in Edmonton, AB. You will be working with a group of professional engineers and technologists who carry diverse skills and a variety of professional backgrounds. Since 1966, our client has been providing reliable service to the mining, construction, forestry, and petroleum industries in Canada and in other countries, from Mexico to Russia.
The ideal candidate will have:
 MUST have 10+ years of Rig Design Experience
 At least five years machinery design experience (ideally 10+) - preferably in the Oil & Gas field industries
 Proficient with 3D CAD and FEA as design tools.
 Experience with Solidworks, SFrame and ANSYS will be an asset.
The successful candidate will be:
 A self starter
 Have the ability to deal with clients directly
 Work under minimal supervision.
 Previous machine shop experience is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with drilling rig or workover rig design experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta is required (professional engineers with registration in other Canadian provinces will be eligible for registration in Alberta).
