Kennel Attendant, Greyhound Racing NSW, Gosford & Central Coast, Salary, $20 - $29.99 per hour. GRNSW is currently seeking a casual kennel attendant to join our team at our kennel facilities based at Wyee on the Central Coast of NSW.

About Greyhounds As Pets: Greyhounds As Pets is a not-for-profit initiative coordinated by Greyhound Racing NSW. The program aims to provide families with a pet that is ideally suited to their needs while giving those greyhounds not suited to racing, or ready to retire from their life as an athlete, a new home. GAP co-ordinates the surrender, fostering and adoption of dogs state wide. 

About the role: The successful applicant will be required to work over a 14 day rotating roster which includes weekends and public holidays as required.

As a member of this team you will be required to; Ensure the wellbeing of in-care animals is maintained by providing high quality care and attention. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and disease control. Administer medication. Animal grooming and exercising. Update and maintain animal observation sheets. Adhere to all Greyhounds As Pets & GRNSW policy, procedure and protocols. Work in a team environment alongside other Animal Attendants. Promote a positive image of Greyhounds As Pets to members of the public. To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following attributes, skills and experience; Certificate II in Animal Handling – essential. Be reliable and flexible. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Initiative and ability to prioritize. Good organizational skills. Team player. Excellent attention to detail. A current NSW driver's license. Experience with greyhounds, while not a pre-requisite, is highly desirable.
