Responsibility: As Head of the Sales Department you will be responsible for the functional management of the overall sales strategy for the Company, nationally while esnuring the Sales Team (20 team members) is functioning at an optimum level – driving and achieving outputs . In addition to the internal function, you will also be responsible for providing a holistic service to all our clients across the Company's portfolio of services.
Skills required: Must have proven experience as a Product Manager within a large, busy inbound Tour Consultancy (at least 5 years), preferably coupled with another 2-5 years experience as a Sales/Revenue Manager within the hospitality industry. Administrative, communication, people, organizational and time management skills. Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, effective crisis management and resolution, customer service orientation. Excellent communications skills to include fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English. Ability to work as part of a team and interact with all levels of staff and management. Team player and sensitive to confidential information. Good human relations and interpersonal skills with proven integrity. Demonstrated disposition toward ethical and non-discriminatory behavior that will act as a role model for others. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Systems and detail orientated. Deadline driver, self-motivated, disciplined, quality and output driven. Willing to travel between branches throughout South Africa, as well as occasional International Travel.
Ability to evaluate and align the Company's sales strategies according the position in the market, market trends, and the overall vision of the company. Advanced knowledge of the tourism industry and relevant trading markets. Salary: R Market Related.
