Location: Claremont & Newlands, Southern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. Our client from a well-established Investment group has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant / Bookkeeper. Offices near Newlands area. Salary: market-related.

The main requirements are the following: Tertiary qualification in Bookkeeping or Accounting 3 years experience in a similar role. Own transport Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems and related laws. Skills and Attributes. Communication skills. Computer literate (excellent Excel skills). Proven organisational skills. Able to perform under pressure. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible, accountable and dedicated. Familiar with various accounting packages.

Responsibility: Produce monthly management accounts for various entities, including balance sheet, income statement, and supporting schedules. Reconciliation and reports of various company accounts with regards to cash flow. Prepare audit packs, and liaise with auditors regarding annual financial statements. Statutory returns for VAT. Review of payments for correct allocation and VAT treatment. Weekly / daily review of all cashbook, invoicing, debtors age analysis and assist in the management of the credit control process. Respond to and follow up on accounts queries. Respond to ad hoc projects , queries and analysis thereof. Support Assistant Financial Manager and Group Financial Manager. Review of system of internal controls and management and promotion of more effective management systems together with a professional photo, your current and expected cost to company as well as reason for wanting to leave current employer.
