A growing Telecoms Equipment refurbishment company based in Samrand is looking for a light current electronics Telecoms engineering geek. You must have a formal light current qualification and have worked in the Telecoms market for at least 5 years. You must have a fascination for breaking telecoms equipment down to board level to understand how it works. We only employ the best engineers so you will get massive experience from your peers. To qualify for this sought after position you must have most or all of the following skills or aptitudes.

Full understanding of telecommunications equipment with knowledge of design and configuration of voice, data and fibre optic equipment and circuits for lab testing. Knowledge of software design for cross communication of telecommunication hardware management with an understanding of network management software systems. Knowledge of programming semiconductor programmable devices and the reverse engineering of software using various programmers.

Knowledge of various software languages, Linux, VMware, Virtual scripting, IT network protocols, routing/configuration scripting, PCB design software, Cisco IoS, C++. Good foundation of fault analysis of telecommunications hardware and software to board level with interpretation of network management faults related to hardware. Knowledge of various test equipment, spectrum analysers, signal generators, etc. Have a sound understanding of current and legacy telecommunication equipment of various manufacturers as well as technology trends within the telecommunications sector. Salary from R60K to R120K p/m plus perks depending on qualifications and experience.
