Rochester and Elmore District Health Service is situated in Rochester close to the regional centres of Echuca and Bendigo and only two hours north of Melbourne. REDHS is an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, DPU, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires.

Our state-of-the art facilities afford us the opportunity to grow our community based services, particularly in the area of primary health care, whilst remaining committed to our acute and aged care services.

Due to the increasing demand for REDHS Home Care Services, we are excited to be expanding out Home Care team. The Home Care Support Worker will perform a range of duties including Personal Care, Domestic Assistance, Shopping Assistance, Meal Preparation, Respite and Transport. These services are currently delivered in Rochester, Elmore, Nanneella and Lockington with opportunity to expland services to other areas.

The successful applicant will: Be required to work evenings, weekends and split shifts. Have experience in the community home care sector Have excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, clients and their representatives Have the ability to read and interpret Support Plans

You will be required to have: Certificate iii in Home and Community Services, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent Current Victorian Drivers Licence Current National Police Check Current First Aid Certificate

Your own vehicle is required with full comprehensive insurance and be suitable to transport frail elderly clients. Your vehicle will be subject to a REDHS Car Safety Inspection and you will be required to present your insurance certificate/details. Allowances reflected as per the Award
