SecOps Engineer - Vulnerability Management - Swindon - Initial 3 month contract

Outsource UK's Cyber team are looking to recruit a SecOps Engineer with strong Vulnerability Management experience on a contract basis

You will be involved in configuring, operating and supporting the vulnerability management platform, performing vulnerability scanning and providing technical recommendations for remediation. You will have experience working in a vulnerability program and will be responsible for reviewing/analysing vulnerability reports and prioritising these vulnerabilities based on your understanding of the clients environment (once up to speed).

You will need to work with the relevant Business/IT stakeholders to manage remediation efforts offering guidance where required. Also, tracking and reporting of the whole process needs to managed including optimizing processes where needed.

Skills: Familiar with industry standard security best practices and vulnerability management processes. Knowledge of common software vulnerabilities. Advanced experience with vulnerability scanning tools and other vulnerability management tools. Sustained experience in IT with a focus on security. Demonstrated capability of managing cyber security incidents. Have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of current security threat types and potential mitigation controls. Fundamental understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP.
