About the College: Founded in 1881, St Joseph’s is an independent Catholic boarding and day secondary school for boys, under the care of the Marist Brothers. In 2019, enrolment is approximately 1,100 boys from Years 7 to 12.

About the role: A full-time position (7:00 am - 3:00 pm) is available for an enthusiastic Tradesperson with experience in the building, plumbing and electrical industries.

The Maintenance Tradesperson will be part of the Property Team and will, under the direction of the Property Supervisor, perform a variety of tasks involving the general maintenance and repair of College buildings, premises and varied equipment, and to perform other duties consistent with the role description as required by the Property Manager.

Consequently, the position is suited to a multi-skilled worker with a good aptitude to various trade skills. It is envisaged that the Maintenance Tradesperson will be “hands-on” in approaching the position and will be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential requirements for this role include: general property and building maintenance knowledge, proven technical skills; lock repairs, plumbing, woodwork & metalwork exceptional attention to detail, strong personal motivation and the ability to prioritise. About you: You will hold a relevant trade qualification, be an effective team member, have a current driver’s licence and be familiar with WHS requirements experience in a comparable environment would be well regarded.
