Group Chief Executive - The Hyde Group, London, Remuneration: Attractive. Hyde Group is one of the UK’s largest housing providers, working across London, the South East, East Anglia and the East Midlands. With a turnover of £340m and 50,000 homes under management (asset value of £3bn for existing use and £10.5bn vacant possession value), Hyde provides services to more than 100,000 customers including 75,000 tenants, 5,000 leaseholders and 6,500 shared owners and is proud of its reputation for innovation and unerring focus on delivering choice and outstanding service to its customers.
Hyde Group is committed to building more than their share of the attainable homes London and the South East needs and is recognised as a major developer, with over 8,000 homes in the pipeline across a range of tenures. They are positioned well as the lead in a range of strategic partnerships across London and the South East, and have recently been recognised as Homebuilder of the Year at the UK Housing Awards.
Having recently celebrated their 50th anniversary year Hyde Group is proud of their rich history but importantly is very excited and inspired about what the future holds. Hyde knows what they want to achieve - to be recognised as one of the top 5 leaders in the housing sector - and they have laid rock-solid foundations to achieve this. This ambition is what drives Hyde Group as an organisation and the transformation they are going through is substantial, reshaping the business and helping meet changing customer demands.
This is a truly rare opportunity. The incoming Group Chief Executive will hold overall responsibility for the leadership of the business, identifying opportunities and creating a long-term business plan to deliver a balance of commercial success and tangible social outcomes for both customers and communities. Pivotal to the success of this role will be the Group Chief Executive’s ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and continue to shape the organisation’s culture to ensure readiness for the future.
Candidates should have a demonstrable track record of leading organisations of comparable scale and complexity, with the right leadership qualities to inspire and drive the organisation forward. Your ability to maximise financial capacity to drive growth coupled with the ability to ensure the delivery of excellent services will be critical, as will your ability to work with a high performing board.
It goes without saying that the incoming Group Chief Executive must be ambitious for Hyde Group’s future and have an affinity for the social aims and values inherent in the sector.
Please note: The candidate brief is currently being finalised and will be uploaded as soon as possible.
