Interim Legal Counsel, Location Essex, Salary £35 - £40 Per Hour. Our client, a well-known University, is urgently looking for an Interim Legal Counsel to provide commercial contract law support, advising on commercial contracts, commercial property, intellectual property and data protection matters on an ongoing basis for at least three to four months.

The successful Legal Counsel will work full time, reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, advising the higher education organisation on matters relating to software agreements, collaborative agreements, shareholder agreements to name a few. You will also provide general legal advice and training on regulatory and compliance issues, supporting the organisation and highly skilled legal department.

The ideal candidate will possess: Between three and six year’s PQE (the ability to work self sufficiently and without supervision is key). Expertise from a higher education, regulatory or in-house background. Excellent drafting and commercial contract negotiating experience. Core understanding of Data Protection and GDPR regulations. A personable team player with excellent interpersonal skills. This is an exciting opportunity to use your legal experience and be part of a well-regarded research focused University.
