Location: Durbanville, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. The PHP Developer will be required to plan, develop, test and implement new innovative software products in a fast-paced prototyping development environment.

Office located in the Northern Suburbs CPT. Salary R35K per month depending on experience, preferably in Java EE. Sample portfolio of work is strongly advised and highly advantageous.

Requirements: Grade 12 or relevant certificate essential. Postgraduate qualification. Min 2 years’ experience in software development. PHP or other programming language essential. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery experience. MySQL (or experience with SQL), database design. Best development practices required. GIT (or similar revision control). Linux skills. Scala/Java/Android/Objective C/iOS development will be preferable.

Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure. Able to take initiative. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibility: Analyse and identify programming solutions for clients. Design and develop new software applications using best practice methods. Create and facilitate suitable testing methods for existing software solutions. Modify and improve existing software systems for optimal efficiency. Perform bug-fixing. Draw up relevant help files and user manuals for programs. Provide technical support on programs created. Keep up to date with new methodologies.
