Professional Nurse Needed, Location: Durbanville, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Part-Time. There is an exciting opportunity at the Cape Town Pain Clinic for the position of a part-time professional nursing sister. The position will become available as of 15 May 2019 pending an interview and meeting the criteria below.

Nursing: Have at least 5 years of experience as a professional nurse. Have experience in Intensive Care Practice. Have the competency to insert IVI cannulas, administer intravenous infusions, and monitor patients receiving infusions. Good clinical skill and theoretical knowledge. Competent in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Correct waste disposal principles. Registration with the nursing council of South Africa. Professional indemnity should be up to date Have at least two contactable references.

General: Professional behavior, attitude and dress. Have the ability to work in a team. Assist in advising when stock level of consumables are low. Patient centeredness. Good record keeping ability. Be available for between ½ day to a full day per week depending on patient load at the practice.
