About Us: Stratel is a locally owned business which operates 3 independent Telstra retail stores and a Telstra Business Centre in the Geelong region. Operating since the year 2000 and with a team of just over 90 staff, we pride ourselves in delivering an exceptional sales and service experience to our customers, which is underpinned by our most important asset - our staff!

Due to ongoing growth, we are currently seeking applications for the role of casual "Operations, Administration and Customer Service" team members. Please note opportunity for a future full time position may also arise.

The role may be based in any of our 3 stores. Casual employees are given shifts in one main store location but also in our other two store locations which is a great way to secure more shifts if you are available. You can specify your preferred working location in the Online Preliminary Job Application form – see below. Please note – High availability is highly regarded. This includes weekend availability as well as mid-week availability too. Generally a minimum of 3 to 4 full day shifts per week is offered with opportunity to secure more shifts based on performance and availability.

The Role: The “Operations, Administration and Customer Service” position plays a vital role in maintaining store organisation. You’ll be based predominantly in the back of house area of the store and will be essentially responsible for the smooth operations of the store through administrative and customer service based tasks. It supports your team and managers and the company as a whole and requires excellent customer service skills performed mainly over the phone but also at times face to face with customers in store. Some of the tasks involved include but are not limited to: Processing customer orders in the Telstra systems and liaising with the customer throughout the process. Stock receiving and stocktaking. Answering phone calls and general customer service. Booking phone repairs and other administrative tasks including processing contracts. Supporting the sales team and managers with various tasks, at times on the shop floor with customers. Processing sales through the point of sale system

About You: Great organisational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional phone manner. Comfortable achieving and exceeding KPI's and deadlines. Ability to quickly pick up Telstra product and systems knowledge and technology functionality. Self-motivated and driven and takes initiative to work efficiently and independently. Confident with excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and customers over the phone and on a face to face basis. Reliable and trustworthy combined with a mature approach and positive attitude. Excellent personal presentation. Good Availability - including Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and some mid-week shifts if you are available. Applicants with previous Telstra experience will be highly regarded.
