Accounts Assistant, Newcastle Steel Frames & Trusses. Newcastle Steel Frames and Trusses are a locally owned and operated business, based in Morisset and specialising in supply and installation of light weight steel frames and trusses to all aspects of the construction industry for over 30 years.
As our business continues to grow we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant /Office All-Rounder to join our busy team on a Full-Time basis!
About the role: Working within a close-knit accounts and administration team and reporting to the Office Manager, the successful applicant will provide support to all aspects of the business administration as well as supporting our team of managers.
High level attention to detail and prioritising skills are a must in this varied and rewarding role, with duties including, but not limited to: Reception and general office duties. Data entry and running Accounts Payable activities using XERO. Ensuring accurate and timely account reconciliation.
Assist with Payroll and HR administration: Identifying discrepancies and liaising with relevant suppliers to achieve positive outcomes. Establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems. Managing Sales/Quotations data base and liaising with customers. A strong team focus, and sense of task ownership are essential for success in this pivotal role. Extensive use of XERO is a must and experience in the Building/Manufacturing industries will be highly advantageous.

A strong communicator, able to identify, discuss and resolve issues positively. Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Excellent personal presentation. Good written/verbal English communications skills. Excellent phone manner.
