Lead Engineer - Water

The engineer will be required to perform the following tasks:
    Project/Task Co-ordination, job assignment resource assignment requests and escalations.
    Production Support, OTD, quality  budget concerns resolution.
    Support to project management, sourcing and other engineering discipline like electrical and controls to execute project.
    Working as Engineer, supporting Customer’s Design & Engineering Department on the Engineering of Water & Wastewater treatment Plants under the supervision of Customer’s Engineering Manager as elaborated here after. Functionally reporting to Technical Head.
    To Support Engineering Department for Design, and development (Design to Build) of Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants such as Pre-treatment, Chemical Dosing, Reverse Osmosis, Media filtration, Electro De-ionization, De-mineralization systems.
    To Study & understand the Project requirements & Designing of process to meet the customer objectives. Understanding the scope of work as per proposal to build WTP considering the addendum deviation etc.
Support Technical evaluation of proposal, involving technical queries and getting clarified the same
    Preparation & Checking of Engineering PFD, P&ID, GA, Spool, and Plumbing runs, Frame drawings, Fabrication Drawings & Release Drawings to Drafting, Production & Planning Department w.r.t. Customer’s standard procedure.
    Design & selection of Material, Equipments & Piping as per Customer’s standard guidelines.
    Selection of Equipments & Instruments and preparation of valve and pipe schedules.
    Performing design, equipments sizing and pipe sizing Calculations.
    Detail Engineering by making Process Datasheets, Valve schedule, Pipe Schedule, Instrument List etc
    Preparation of Bill of Material & releasing to Procurement through ERP system.
    Communicating & Coordination with Project Manager and inter disciplinary Departments for approving engineering document and drawing.
    Communicating & Coordination with Vendors for Quotation/ Enquires on equipments, instruments.
    Coordination of ECO (Engineering Change Orders) as per manufacturing standards and procedures through the use of SAP tool.
    Co-ordination between design, planning, procurement & production department for all aspects related to Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation equipments and materials.
    Submission of engineering documents and drawings.
    Adhering to Quality management system, maintaining ISO documents and committed for On Time Delivery.
The other responsibilities include :
    Technical meetings with the Customer/client / consultant/Vendors
    Design standardization to ensure commonality in the design globally, reduce inventory, engineering costs, execution time and improve quality, turnaround time, and supplier and customer relations.
    Conduct Design  Review Meetings with the Engineering Team, Production Team, Vendors and Procurement team.
REQUIRMENTS TO PERFORM THE JOB DUTIES
    Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B.E. /B. Tech) in Chemical Engineering.
    5+ years of experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants.
    Knowledge of MS office, AutoCAD & SAP-ERP.
    Desire for continuous learning and improvement.
    Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within engineering organization.
Salary Range : CAD$60,000/year  to CAD$72,000/year
