Sector: Community Based Rehabilitation Early Intervention Substance Abuse. Location: Western Cape/Knysna - Operational areas Knysna and Bitou Municipal Area. Availability: Must be available immediately. The Knysna Alcohol and Drug Centre has a vacancy for a Qualified Social Worker to fulfill Social work duties in the Knysna and Bitou Municipal and surrounding communities.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BaSW). Registered with the South African. Council for Social Service Professions. Proof of Registration 2019/2020. Valid Driver's License.

Must have knowledge of Substance Use Disorder: Minimum of 5 years or more experience as a Social Worker. Must be ?uent in Afrikaans and English.

Competencies: Report writing and administration skills. Communication and public speaking skills. Knowledge of the Substance Abuse Act, Act 70 of 2008

Knowledge of Children's Act, Act 38 of 2005. Substance Abuse and Mental health experience will be an advantage. Counselling and therapeutic skills with Children, Adolescents and Adults. Case Work, Group Work, Community Work & Training/Facilitation skills.
