We are building a unit of people who will recruit students based on their interest shown on the company’s website and other third party platforms from which leads will be generated.

So mostly in-bound. Very little outbound calls. These ‘recruiting agents’ will be graduates themselves and if possible have studied in some commercial fields e.g. B.Com etc. They will be selling intangible academic products and there for will have to do relational selling. Their ability to have authentic conversations and also to drive (NB) towards the closing of a sale will be important as their on-target income is dependent on that. English proficiency is of utmost importance. A second language e.g. Xhosa, Afrikaans, etc. would be a strong recommendation. As they will be graduates we intend to remunerate them more than the national average of about R10k p.m.  We would offer a base of R12k with the potential of on-target commission earnings up to total earnings of between R20-24k p.m. Thus, their selling skills must be excellent. Work ethic is non-negotiable.

As they would be selling intangible long-term products, we are of the opinion that you may find such candidates in existing education environments, or most probably in insurance call centres. That is however your area of expertise.
