Chef for a function venue in the winelands, Location: Worcester, Cape Winelands, Job Type: Full-Time. A popular wedding and function venue & winery situated between Worcester and Robertson is looking for a passionate venue chef to join their team.

Responsibilities: Food & Drink Orders, Purchasing and Stock Control ofKitchen and Bar Menus, Costings. Management of Kitchen Staff, Hygiene of Kitchen, Wedding/ Conference / Special Event Catering for up to130 PAX. Breakfast & Dinner for Guests House guests.
Requirements: Must have 2-5 years’ experience in catering for functions/ weddings, Culinary, Qualification, Preferably 22-40 without any dependents, A passion for cooking food with fresh produce and herbs out of our gardens Innovative and attention to detail. Passionate about food and wine pairings. Calm Temperament Be willing to relocate/ live in the countryside. Excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen team. Computer Literate – MS Excel, MS Word. Fluent in English & Afrikaans –written and verbal. Well-presented and excellent communication & administration skills. Team Player Own transport, valid driver license. Live on premises in a beautiful cottage among vineyards. Must be willing to work long hours, public holidays andweekends as required by the industry.
