Screen Print Machine Operator – Olivedale, Location, Randburg, Johannesburg, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time. Applicants must have valid working permits and must have experience.

Job Description: Set up and operate screen printing machines to print designs onto articles and materials, such as glass or plasticware and cloth.

Sets and adjusts printing to specifications. Starts drying oven and sets thermostat to temperature specified for printing run. Reviews print job card to determine required to set up manually controlled printing machine equipment. Determines from orders type and color of designs to print. Adjusts position of design or printing machine to ensure specified color print registration. Trains workers in use of printing equipment and in quality standards.

Counts and records quantities printed in production log. Patrols printing area to monitor production activities and to detect problems, such as mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions. Inspects printing equipment and replaces damaged or defective parts, such as switches, pulleys, fixtures, screws, and bolts. Compares ink or paint prepared for printing run with required pantone colours to confirm accuracy of match.

Examines product for paint smears, position of design, or other defects and adjusts equipment. Capable of exposing own screen machines for the correct registration. Can work without supervision and under pressure meets deadlines while producing a quality standard of print.
