Master Tailor, COMPANY: John the Tailor, LOCATION: Edmonton, AB. We are looking for two (2) qualified Master Tailors to fill full-time positions.

Company Information: Founded in 1978 by an Italian master tailor Mr. Giovanni Trunzo, we are located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, Alberta. Over the decades we have acquired a reputation for creating high-quality contemporary bespoke/ custom made clothing, Canadian forces mess dress attire and alterations for distinguished professionals. Our main priority is maintaining this tradition and striving for the highest possible standards and quality in sartorial craft and customer service.

John the Tailor is a prime destination here in Edmonton for Canadian forces to provided them with all their mess dress/ uniform requirements.

In this role, your primary tasks will include: Creating bespoke/ custom made clothing, and Canadian forces/ military mess dress attire; General clothing alterations; Taking measurements from customers; Servicing any other customer needs in the storefront.

Skills/Experience Required: The successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to draft/grade the patterns, cut, sew and finish the custom made clothing for men’s and women’s. The candidate must also be certified as a master tailor with at least 3+ years of experience in the industry.

Benefits: The salary for this position is $16.00 per hour. This position is based on regular shift work, and will be a minimum of 30 hours per week. Overtime of $24.00 will be paid if employees work more than 44 hours per week. You will receive vacation pay in the amount of 4%.
