Location, Other, Cape Town, Advertised By Agency, Job Type Full-Time, Back End Software Developer. We have an exciting opportunity for an Software Engineer to join our fast growing ambitious online business. We have an office based in Woking, UK, and an office based in Centurion, South Africa.

Being an experienced Software Engineer you will build and maintain great new components for our B2B and B2C systems, you will ensure that we identify and promote best-practice and make appropriate technical approach decisions, in a cross functional team with other developers and product owners, producing new system components, user experiences, and enhancements to existing components and user journeys to achieve Team Goals.

Requirements: 3+ years commercial experience building awesome web apps. BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience

Skills: Impeccable, demonstrable, development skills in more than one of PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, ASP, .NET, or surprise us! Familiarity with common design patterns, and an understanding of scale. Experience interacting with B2B customers and business stakeholders. Good knowledge of website architectures and technology stacks.

Experience of working in an agile environment, SCRUM training a plus! Experience with modern microservice and/or web application development techniques and frameworks. Excellent Windows or Unix/Linux skills. Some scripting skills: Bash, Perl, PowerShell Database skills SQL and NoSQL (any vendor), preferably MSSQL or Google BigQuery Ability to multitask and rapidly switch contexts and cope with changing priorities.
