Payroll Administrator, Melbourne Bayside & South Eastern Suburbs

Due to the continual growth of our business, we have created a new role to support our Payroll stars based in our Head Office based in Oakleigh South.

About the Role: if successful, you will assist in processing of weekly/fortnightly pay run and provide accurate and timely processing of Employee and Payroll data, maintaining a strong client centric focus with internal and external customers in a vibrant National environment. 

Main responsibilities of the role include: Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll runs. Processing new starters, terminations, Leave etc. End to end management of employee pay queries and providing support to employee base. Payment of salaries, taxation (BAS)and superannuation contributions in accordance with legislative, award and policy requirements. Update and maintain payroll records. Running and providing weekly/monthly payroll reports. Ad hoc duties as required.

All about you: To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum 2-3 years experience in payroll processing of a mid-sized company. Ability to interpret Road & Transport award, Clerks private sector award, and other awards applicable to Warehouse & Distribution sector. Sound understanding of different shift (Day, Early Morning, Afternoon & Night) and calculate loading percentages accordingly.

Experience with Pronto payroll system or similar system will be preferred. Experience with Mitre Finch or similar Time and Attendance system will be highly regarded. Knowledge of interpreting and applying award and other Industrial Agreements. Intermediate to advanced level of expertise in using Ms-Excel.
