Senior Quantity Surveyor Location Other, Cape Town Advertised By Private Job Type Contract A Medium Sized Construction Company based in Cape Town Western Cape is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
ESSENTIAL: Minimum of five years’ experience in Contract Administration. Minimum B.Tech in QS is preferred. Registered with the SACQSPTO INCLUDE: Experience in administering all aspects of the Construction Contracts which include but not limited to: Preparation and submission claims for payment. Preparing and interpreting turnover/cash flow projections and profit/loss forecasts
Strong administrative skills and knowledge of Principle Building agreements –knowledge of JBCC suite of contract non negotiable Preparing bills of quantities for main or sub-contracts, including the measurement and description of work, and the drafting of preliminaries, preambles and contract conditions Prepare cost reports, tender evaluations and sub-contractor appointment for approval by contracts manager Perform risk, value management and cost control Full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management. Reporting on, evaluating and negotiating contractual and extra-contractual issues; contract correspondence; attending site meetings Better Buying by nature Continues Improvement outlook
