Cost Accountant Location Hermanus, Overberg Advertised By Private Job Type Full-Time Our prominent wine and lifestyle estate needs a Cost Accountant to join our team. If you have worked in the hospitality/wine industry before and have advanced accounting skills, we’re interested in speaking with you. Responsible for managing system sand processes for all entities on the estate, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, accounting standards, and approved costing methodologies. The position will report to the Financial Controller but work closely with wine making, supply chain, bottling, cellar, warehousing, operations, accounting, decision support, planning, etc. to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting for all products and inventory, including annual harvest costing, product standards, and grower payments. It is essential for this role to be proactively informed and aware of all cost accounting compliance issues that impact our business and employees. Duties Allocation of farm and wine making costs to production Input and management of Wine MS Reconciliation of inventories to Pastel/Wine MSStock count procedures and control Ordering of all dry goods Management of dry goods Monthly inventory depletion graphs Management and control of inventory valuations Processing of Bottling and labeling runs on Pastel Customs and Excise supervision. Daily cash ups Reporting as required Advantageous: Pastel and Wine MS experience
