Restaurant Manager – Stellenbosch Location Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands Advertised By Private Job Type Full-Time Restaurant General Manager We are looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant operations restaurant manager to coordinate daily restaurant management operations and duties at the well known Stellenbosch based restaurant, Mont Marie.
Responsibilities: Coordinate front of house restaurant operations Deliver excellent customer service Daily restaurant administration: Day end cash-ups, confirmation of bookings, communicating with the kitchen about any special requirements or needs, menu printing Ordering required stock items such as liquor Identify and respond immediately to customer complaints
Management of front of house staff: Shifts, training, discipline, making sure the front of house staff is always presentable and informed of any changes to the availability of items Ensuring that each service runs smoothly even under heavy pressure conditions Communicating any relevant information to the owner, positive or negative Requirements Work experience as a Restaurant Manager who has run a store for a minimum of three years Contactable references Excellent communication skills, bilingual ( Afrikaans & English ) third language such as German or French would be considered as a great plus point for the candidate Good interpersonal skills with both staff and customers Strong food and beverage (F&B) knowledge Being familiar with POS software ( GAAP and or Micros based systems )Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Only approved candidates will be contacted for an interview.
