The Product Specialist’s role is to become the subject matter expert in assigned product lines. Incumbent will promote product sales from contract, delivery of equipment to maintaining the highest standard of service and support thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
    Continue to develop our conveyor presence in Canada, with the end objective of supporting and building a cost effective and profitable local business in replacement business and end user engagement.
    Ability to gain direct access to Mines and Fixed-plant installations by leveraging Conveyor knowledge;
    Seek and secure opportunities for product and aftermarket sales and technical and service solutions across Joy Global aftermarket product opportunities through our distribution and direct model strategy.
    Conduct Conveyor Audits (operational and administrative), provide and manage parts and component supply and refurbishment services, undertake on-site condition assessments of installed conveyors and project manage Joy Global involvement in shutdowns or installations;
    Provide basic Conveyor training for operators and other Joy Global personnel.
Qualifications
    Trade or engineering qualification, or extensive prior product and technical training within a similar role.
    Credible knowledge (through work experience and training) of Conveyors and Fixed-Plant in all mining and port applications.
    Minimum 5 years Product and Solution Sales experience.
    Full understanding of Site Safety and Environment protocols.
    Demonstrated customer management experience.
    Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting proposals.
    Project co-ordination experience and ability to conceptualize and plan a scope of work.
    Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
    Salesforce knowledge is an asset.
