Project Manager

We are currently high caliber Project Manager candidates. Based in Calgary, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.
The Project Manager provides leadership to the taskforce to ensure timely completion of all activities and deliverables during the various stages of multi-discipline projects.
Responsibilities:
    Support proposals, usually in the assigned role of Proposal Manager.
    Execute all aspects of the total project in accordance with the scope of the contract.
    Clearly communicate project goals and performance expectations to the team.
    Gather knowledge about previous, similar projects and disseminate to the project team.
    Promote the HSE program throughout all phases of the project.
    Implement the requirements of company operation systems on each project.
    Deliver the project in accordance with the execution and commercial Baseline.
    Implement an effective change management process.
    Update the execution and commercial Baseline documents as needed.
    Provide project leadership and mentor project personnel.
    Establish an execution framework to promote quality, value, timeliness, and profitability.
    Ensure key processes and project documents are developed by the Project Leads.
    Maximize distributed execution opportunities.
    These positions may require you to work in either Calgary, project locations in Alberta and British Columbia.
Basic Job Requirements:
    10 years Project Management experience with an engineering contractor or engineering department of an oil, gas or chemical organization.
    Experience as a Project Manager managing large, Multi-Million to Billion dollar Petrochemical and / or Oil & Gas projects.
    Possess a Bachelors degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
    Successfully performed in a project role on multiple projects.
    Strong understanding and track record of developing businesses within a professional services environment.
    Demonstrable experience in developing and managing complex business development relationships, including relationships between professional services providers and clients.
    Possess an expert level of competency in project management and the ability to identify potential problem and avoid them.
    Strong leadership skills with detailed familiarity with project management tools and techniques and effective team management and proven success.
