Purchase Coordinator Dubai Salary: AED 5001-7000 Experience: 5 - 7 Years Job Type: Full Time Gender: Male
The Purchase Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the purchase of assigned commodities and services. Reviews requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Maintains the procurement process to include formal solicitation requirements. Perform research activities to determine a list of possible vendors. Contact each vendor and take information regarding price, availability and quality of problems. Arrange meetings with vendors and confer with them in order to provide them with requirements. Confer with production managers to determine purchasing needs. Make purchase orders and have them signed from respective managers. Initiate contact with vendors to check availability of needed documents. Ensure that the right amount of materials is delivered to the production pallet at the right time. Check shipments to ensure quality and quantity of purchased items. Monitor all purchase requisitions and handle adjustments with vendors. Process proof of delivery requests. Handle limited inventory management activities. Liaison with the accounting department to reconcile invoices and purchase orders. Research pricing information and compare prices and quotations. Supervise the preparation of Purchase Orders to ensure they are accurate and sent to the correct supplier (s) in a timely manner. Follow-up with the suppliers to ensure the quotation is delivered in time;
Skills: Demonstrated experience building working relationships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders and/or vendors. Knowledge of current and emerging trends, issues, and methods in procuring University material acquisitions. Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application.
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Bachelor’s Degree in any related discipline. Some training in purchasing activities is preferred. A working knowledge of internal & international markets, as well as online dealings, is required. Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Arabic Speaking is an added advantage Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and mediation skills Ability to work independently. Must be willing to relocate to Muscat, OMAN Job Type: Full-time Salary: RO500.000 to RO700.000 /month
