Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Machinist Trade Certification, Machinist Red Seal Endorsment
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work Setting: General manufacturing
Type of Machine Experience: Conventional
Machining Tools and Machines: Broaching machines, CNC machines, Drill presses, Milling machines, Tapping machines, Tool grinders
Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Repair machine tools and parts, Set up and adjust production machinery, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
