Freight Administrator

Seekign Freight Administrator with ocean freight forwarding experience. Located in Dublin City Centre - Up to €35k DOE.

Duties & Responsibilities:

    * Organisation of seafreight/containers between Ireland and the UK.
    * Plan inbound and outbound shipments of freight, including groupage and full loads
    * Choosing which carriers are most suitable for particular destinations based on cost/reliability etc.
    * Running of reports including Customer Activity reports, carrier activity reports etc.
    * Liaise with external customers including large multinationals and export agents
    * Making on the spot decisions regarding collections and deliveries
    * Monitoring shipments to ensure everything is running smoothly
    * Liaise with team members to help and ensure all work is completed in an accurate and timely manner
    * Liaising with Accounts department to ensure carriers invoices are passed and dealing with any problems that may have occurred.

Key Requirements:

    * 2-5 years experience
    * Previous experience completing customs clearances
    * Excellent problem solving, planning & organising skills.
    * Excellent communication/telephone skills.
    * Strong Customer Service & Administrative skills.
    * Good IT skills with previous freight management systems experience
    * Ability to work on own initiative but can also work well in a small friendly team.
