Workshop Technician, Location, Midrand, Johannesburg, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time. A vacancy exists for a Workshop Technician at our facility in Midrand. The successful candidate must have a track record of repairing DIY Tools and machinery, Power tools, Compressors, Generators, Welding Machines, Garden machines, Pneumatic Tools, Water pumps.

Objective: Responsible for the repairs and servicing of the Company products and assisting with all aspects of the Workshop. Skills Experience Grade 12 or equivalent, with valid proof of mechanical and/or electric experience He must be able to deliver high level, quality service, in order to ensure customer satisfaction. Must have knowledge of repairing welding products, mechanical issues, warranties, service and general repairs.

Customer service ability Essential diagnostic and problem-solving skills, to find the cause of a fault and patience to trace it. Good communication ability both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills Fluency in English is mandatory.

Key Performance Areas Repairs Liaise with customers Administration Responsibilities: Maintain a Job Card to record any  receipt documents for all returns received for repair Check if, returns received fall within the standard company warranty period Investigate all returns failures and liaise with Management/Customers timeously, irrespective of whether the return is conducted as no charge or charge out.  To keep updated records of all repairs done and submit to Workshop Manager

Administration and control of all documents related to repairs, i.e. Invoicing; GRN and waybills Ensure economic feasibility of repair, when such products under warrantee is not feasible to repair consideration must be given to extract good spare parts prior to scrapping products

Responsible for ensuring that repaired goods are placed in the designated area in the warehouse and dispatched within  specified timeframe. To provide telephonic or on-site technical support on all products, either directly with the customer or when asked to do so by customer services department

To produce technical reports on any product as required by management Responsible for control of  stock holding of common spare parts Support Management in the task of ensuring the most profitable and effective running of the repair process

To conduct (PDI) pre delivery inspection on machines Housekeeping - Ensure that workshop  is kept clean at all times Attach CV, with proven skills, most recent photo, salary expectancy,
