Truck Driver (Pick Up & Delivery Driver)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $19.70 to $21.70 Hourly for 40 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements: Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver\'s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer A train, Flatbed
Type of Travel: Local
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs
