Production Manager, Location, Other, West Suburbs, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time.

A well-established, manufacturing company based in Outer West in KZN has a vacancy for an experienced Production Manager. Duties include: Production planning and management including minimising change overs, down time and rejects. Production co-ordination between the factories, warehouses and production plan. Monitoring of weekly and monthly stock levels of all raw materials and work in progress stocks for incorporation into the production plan.

Purchasing, tracking and managing of all raw materials required to support the production activities. Sourcing best prices for all input material requirements. Manage, lead, support & motivate all supervisors and their support staff. Ensure all OSH, 5S audit and ISO14001 requirements are adhered to and documentation submitted. Ensure all product specifications are maintained and up to date with the correct master samples in them.

Applicants must meet the following criteria: At least 7 years production management experience in a manufacturing environment. A production management or other relevant tertiary qualification

Must be able to demonstrate high level production planning skills. Demonstrate initiative and pro-activeness. Above average verbal and written communication skills. Applicants will be required to undergo a competency assessment.
