Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Glazier Trade Certification, Glazier Red Seal Certificate, Driver\'s License
Experience: Experience an asset
Major Work Area: Installation, Shop fabrication/manufacturing, Repair, Historical restoration
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Residential, Retail service and repair firm
Types of Glass / Materials: Acrylic plexiglass, Float glass, Mirrors, Sealed units
Frame Fabrication and Installation: Aluminum framing members, Entranceways
Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques: Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts), Laminate glass
Specific Skills: Determine type of glass, frames and material required, Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Repair glass doors and other glass structures, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment, Transport cases of glass
Additional Skills: Estimate labour and materials costs, Prepare tenders and quotations, Work at heights on scaffolding, Supervise other workers
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver\'s validity license check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver\'s licence, Vehicle supplied by employer
