We are a small and growing family business based in Parow Industria looking for a professional and well organised Bookkeeper / Office Administrator. We manufacture a range of food and confectionary products and supply to retail stores in the greater Cape Town and Boland areas.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing administrative functions which will include financial and basic HR admin and will also have an operations component. She/he will report to the two Directors of the company.
Scope of work will include: Financial (Software System – Quick Books). Bookkeeping – Processing to Trail Balance. Capturing bank accounts, doing bank reconciliations & loading payments. Management and reconciliation of credit cards. Full function management of Debtors and Creditors . Preparing and submitting statutory returns, WCA, UIF, VAT, PAYE, SARS eFiling etc. Assist with monthly and annual budgets & cash flow projections. Compile monthly management accounts and reports. Ensuring that administrative and financial controls and standards are well implemented
Human Resources: Manage leave for all employees. Assist with labour matters and work with our independent labour consultants when required. Maintain Personnel Files. Manage Payroll Operations. Processing of daily, weekly and monthly sales reports when needed. Manage daily reconciliation of invoices and cash payments. Assist with administration of food safety documentation and requirements. Assist Managing Director with operations support where needed from time to time
Other – General administrative assistance with Directors’ personal matters
Requirements: Matric and Accounting background. Working knowledge of Quick Books Accounting and Payroll or similar. Computer Literacy (Good Excel Skills essential). Good analytical and numerical skills. Previous experience in a similar role. Must be able to multi-task and work with multiple elements of the business. Must be energetic, self-motivated and be able to work under pressure. Possess a good communication and reporting skills. Must be accessible after hours within reason . Must have reliable references.
